We had the pleasure of showcasing the FLIT-16 at Innovate East, an event run by Anglian Water (the main water provider for the East of England) and SWECO (designers and planners of future cities) to inspire businesses and individuals to think creatively about how to solve some of the environmental problems our world is facing.
We were part of the Innovation Arena – which was designated to companies that are involved in exciting new technologies, so we were delighted to be chosen to exhibit!

The FLIT Challenge
As part of the event, the FLIT team were set a challenge to get test riders from Innovate East to cycle 359 kilometres, which is the distance from the location of the event to the SWECO headquarters in Leeds.
To track the FLIT-16s distance, we installed GPS trackers into the ebikes. This meant that we could see the ebike location in real time, as well as calculate the total distance cycled over the three day event. GPS tracking is something we are considering for the future, so it was really useful for us to test it out at Innovate East!
It was great fun getting lots of people involved, with everyone helping us to achieve the goal by cycling the FLIT-16 1.5km around our track.
Everyone loved taking the FLIT-16 for a spin around the test track!
It was also great to get lots more positive feedback about the FLIT-16 and how well it rides! We were very pleased to reach our target of 359km over the 3 day event, so thank you very much to everyone that took part!
